Production As A Social Act
The continuous value of relationships that certifies the economic sustainability in Paolo Tamiazzo’s words (ARCI-ARCS and National Forum on third sector), the paradigmatic ability to recombine needs and productive inputs, the fusion between cooperative, association and enterprise model, La Semente is a virtuous example of all that. There are various key competences inside a group that wants to re-develop an urban area in order to improve the life-quality and create community services, in the speech of Giovanni Santi Laurini from Fiorivano Le Viole Association.
All these are part of some Open Talk’s themes during the second day of ‘All of Social! Social Start Ups’. Two days of ideas, laboratories and events in order to realize Ethical Purchasing Groups as platform for the acquisition of key-competences for the beginning of self-employment and for support of social entrepreneurship. Themes and questions are contextualised in the change that social enterprises and no-profit organizations are living nowadays in Italy. These are also the main words of Carlo Di Somma (Federsolidarietà-Confcooperative’s President) who talks about the strong discontinuity between social cooperation and institutions with a recall to the cooperative world that keeps in centre “social issues”. Followed by a Social Lab where there is an area reserved to Umbria Region associations: Orto Sole Association, Sangiustinese, Fabbrica Moderna-Effetto Cinema Association, Music Farm and PostModernissimo. These associations are all leaders of new paradigms in the assumption of “social isseus” into new forms of collective economy, active citizenship, regeneration of outskirts, social vocation of many start-up, business model and into new sustainable resources to use. These are realities that create a new eco-system, that involves “the production as social fact” (Becattini, 2016), which is main the focus of society and territories.
